Luckyrajah Paramanathan (La-key-ra-ja), of Scarborough, is Ontario's latest multi-millionaire after claiming a LOTTO 6/49 Jackpot worth $18 Million from the March 17, 2007 draw.

Paramanathan says he had quite a shock when he checked his lottery tickets at the local retailer. "I started screaming when I was told that I won $18 Million! I never imagined I would win this much. I'm still shocked and overwhelmed," Paramanathan told staff at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto when he collected his LOTTO 6/49 $18 Million Jackpot prize. "I'm so happy. I can't stop smiling," added Panamanathan.

The 43-year-old maintenance worker at Heavy Duty Management has been in Canada seven years, working to bring his family here from his homeland. "This win will allow me to bring my wife and two sons to Canada to start a new life," said Paramanathan, who has quit his job with plans to start his own textile company. Other future endeavours include buying a house and taking a vacation.

The winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket was purchased at Sunny Convenience Store on Eglinton Avenue East in Scarborough.
